Perverse Sheaves and Langlands Duality

Abstract: Abstract: This is the first in a series of talks focusing on V. Ginzburg's paper, "Perverse sheaves on loop groups and Langlands duality". In this introductory talk we will discuss the notion of perverse sheaves, make some basic definitions and present the main statements to be proven.
