#### Key Agreement and Signature Schemes using Elliptic Curves

###### I. Durrsma (UIUC Math)

Abstract: We review the well-known Diffie-Hellman key agreement protocol and the ElGamal signature scheme. We then show how these protocols can be made faster and more memory efficient by using the group of points on an elliptic curve. No prior knowledge of cryptography or elliptic curves is assumed.

#### Type II Superstring Spectrum

###### Shiying Dong (UIUC Physics)

Abstract: After introducing superconformal symmetry to worldsheet theories, we'll use the old covariant quantization formalism to get the physical states. Then using the GSO projection, we can get the two consistent supersymmetric theories with N=2 supersymmetry.
