Quantum phenomena -- from physics to math

Marius Junge (Department of Mathematics, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)

Abstract: Here we will investigate how cool words like 'Einstein-Poldolski-Rosen-Paradox' and 'Teleportation' have a concrete (maybe a little disappointing) mathematical meaning. This leads to deep connections between math, physics and the theory of games in computers science. However, the mathematical aspect of it is quite accessible.
