Lagrangian cobordism and some applications

Weiwei Wu (University of Georgia)

Abstract: In this talk, we first explain what a Lagrangian cobordism is and its connection to surgery operations. An application of this theory generalizes Seidel's Dehn twists exact sequences to Lagrangian submanifolds which are rank one symmetric spaces and their covers, including RPn and CPn, matching a mirror prediction due to Huybrechts and Thomas. We will also sketch two ongoing projects. This is a joint work with Cheuk-Yu Mak.
